Aims and Activities of the Society
The Society was founded in March 1992. Its aim is to promote the study of the history of Holt and the surrounding area. Members receive newsletters periodically throughout the year. The Society has working groups on various projects and has produced a Waymarked Village Trail Leaflet, available from village shops. Its contribution to the Millennium Celebration was a book entitled 'A Pictorial History of Holt'.

The meetings of the Society are usually held on the fourth Thursday in each month at 7-30 p.m. in Holt Community Centre in Chapel Street. Lectures are free for members, but there is a charge of £2.00 for non-members, which will be refunded at the end of the meeting if they decide to join.

Membership Subscription is £7.50 p.a. (£3 p.a. for full time students) and covers the Society year from Apr 1st to Mar 31st.
